Spencer earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University before interning in Milwaukee. Since 1996, he has practiced in Rhode Island, launching Cordtsen Design Architecture in 2009. A registered architect in five states, he is a member of AIA, NCARB, and C12, a Christian CEO Peer Advisory organization.
Originally from Pewaukee, Wisconsin, Spencer admires James Cutler’s work and Newport’s Wild Acre. He is deeply involved in community projects, including RI East Bay Habitat for Humanity and the Newport Boys & Girls Club. Outside of architecture, he enjoys volleyball at First Beach, dreams of exploring Patagonia, and once worked as a carnival hand—though his most surprising feat might be getting expelled from two preschools before age five.
