Born in Tokyo, Japan, Ella moved to Cornwall, Connecticut, at age five before making her way to Rhode Island to attend the Rhode Island School of Design. She graduated with Honors in Architecture, also pursuing a concentration in Literary Arts and Studies. With experience in smaller firms in Connecticut and New York, she joined the CDA team in 2024, bringing a thoughtful, artistic approach to design.

The third of six siblings, Ella cherishes time with her family, especially when visiting home in Connecticut—where she also cares for 17 chickens. A lifelong explorer, she has traveled across Europe and the Dominican Republic, with New Zealand next on her list. She never leaves home without Chapstick and sunglasses, finds inspiration in Philippians 4:8-9, and has a passion for landscape oil painting. Her love for design started young, building worlds with Playmobil, and she still enjoys the beauty of well-crafted details—especially in her dad’s homemade sushi, her favorite meal. Fun fact: she spent seven summers as a beach lifeguard but never had to make a rescue!
